DIY BANNER

DIYBANNER_TEE2ENVISAGE

The love travels every now and then for work and comes home to a simple little surprise.  This time I decided to craft up a banner.  Its like a min-welcome home present.BANNER0

Gather these items.  Most you have lying around the home somewhere.  You can use a ruler and scissors if you don’t have a paper trimmer.BANNER4

Cut the paper 3×4 inches or to whatever size you desire.  Instead of leaving them square I cut a triangle on the bottom of each square.BANNER3

I used the triangle scraps for part of my message. Write your message on each squares/triangles.BANNER1

Thread your message together and use thumb tacks to pin it to the wall and Viola…a message to your sweetie.

Whats crafting on this Thursday for ya?  Please share.

A HINT of gold: CHEVRON and lines.

Oh how the mouse has been needing company. At home and the office space. FINALLY I got around to making them. Simple and too easy. Had everything but the cork piece. Found it at a garage sale for 0.50 cents! Score.

CHEVRONLINES1_TEE2ENVISAGE

Oh this 1 can of gold spray paint has lasted me.

I eyeballed the lines as I taped it up. It is about an inch apart.

Next you are going to use your X-acto knife and cute out certain pieces that you would want your pattern.

Be sure to be outside or in an open space before using your spray paint. I was in my patio with the nice touch of pine scraps on the balcony. Let the spray paint dry for about 10-15 mins. Spray a second coat if your heart desires for it. Then let it dry another 10-15 mins before peeling off the painters tape.

AND Viola! Finito. A hint of chevron and lines. My mouse finally has a companion.

See what happens when the gloomy weather rolls around? My craft creativity oozes out of me. Hope you enjoyed this and happy Wednesday.

DIY MINI CARDS

A month filled with birthdays and celebrations.  I thought it would be fitting to make mini cards to go with the gifts.  Self-art inspired by chevron, stripe, and line patterns.  Simple, chic, and pretty cards.  A touch of love and effort.

DIY message in a JAR.

As promised here is the message in a jar post I made for Mel’s farewell-new job-birthday celebrations.

DIYMESSAGEINAJAR_TEE2ENVISAGE

WHAT YOU NEED:

1} A jar to store your messages (Jar from dollar tree)

2} A pile of 3×2″ white papers (computer paper is just fine)

3} A bunch of four inch strings for your guest to tie their message ( I used hemp strings)

4} Two card 8 x 12″ board pieces (cardboard from old boxes)

5} Utensils for your guest to write with.  Sharpies never a bad idea.

6} AND your creativity!

Message in a jar can be made for any occasion.  Its like a jar of reminders to boost ya up just when ya need it!  A gift that is thoughtful, unique, and filled with greatness.  Perfect gift for Mel as she left PDX–a little message from EVERYONE.  A bunch of messages for her to read when the homesick feeling rolls around.  The white cap was too plain I had to fancy it up with words and some colors.  The cap with SIX words I felt was necessary for her new chapter: perseverance, resilient, believe, hope, faith, and love.   Have fun creating your jar filled with messages for your love one.  Please share if you do–I would love to see the jar you create.

What’s on the IG lately?

INSTAPICS_TEE2ENVISAGE

The weeks of drowning the negatives with positives; great crafts was birth from it.  Who said good things doesn’t come out of bad situations do not know how to see the silver lining in the storm.  All in the midst of cleansing my body from toxins, there are rough days.  I was tired of just letting it take control of my life.  For the last two weeks I fought back.  My energy was quickly put towards counting my blessings, utilizing my right hemisphere of the brain to create, and last but not least sharing it with my WordPress family.  A neglect to my followers was not a choice.  As I took a look back on my instagram photos, I thought to myself, “Its time to do a Instapic update”.    AND here you have it!  Crafts and snacks has been of my favorites as of late.  Can you tell or need I say nothing?  Thank God for the existence of creativity and what we can do with it.  What have you been creating?  Please share.  Hope you have a HAPPY  and GREAT Saturday!!

P.S. Want more instant updates?  I tend to update more on the IG.  Follow my daily on instagram @tee2envisage.

DIY message on a MUG.

As I sat there and contemplated what would be a great gift for Mel a mug came into mind.  I love to draw doodle with Sharpies.  Great opportunity to use in on a mug!  We always had talks over a cup of tea.  The conversations were long, enjoyable, and never ending filled with the simplest things to the most complicated ones.  A MUG was just the right gift.  Every time she drinks tea she can be reminded of our bonding over tea.

I hope you enjoy yourself while you get to doodle a mug for your love one.  Its personable, takes a bit of effort, and a memorable gift.

REPURPOSE: Egg Carton

I have been thinking of a home for my rings and it came along this morning.  My morning started with one of my eggs getting stuck in the carton and cracked in half!  I thought to myself what a way to start my morning.

EPICFAILtoSUCCESS-01

A few seconds later I envisioned a ring holder!  I thought YES… REPURPOSE that egg carton!  Ahhhh an epic fail turned into a success.  Not a bad morning after all.

RINGDISPLAY_TEE2ENVISAGE-01

All you need is an egg carton, a knife, maybe scissors, and less than 5 minutes.
